Please join us in these Bible Studies and Fellowship Opportunities
Sunday Morning Education Hour
Feed My Lambs - August 20th to September 10th
This is a four-session study was written by LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison to explore how members of the body of Christ demonstrate love and compassion to people in need as an expression of faith. Amy Jeffries will facilitate this class during the education hour each Sunday from August 20th through September 10th. This class meets in the Fellowship Hall on Sundays at 9:45 AM.
Philippians Bible Study - Begins September 17th
Pastor Rick will be leading a Bible Study on the epistle of Philippians on Sunday mornings starting September 17th. The theme of this epistle is at the core of who we are as Christians. While it is a thank you note, Paul uses it as an opportunity to teach about having a servant attitude. Join us on Sundays at 9:45 AM in the Fellowship Hall.
Joining Jesus Bible Study - Begins September 17th
This new book was written by LCMS Pastor Greg Finke and his wife, Susan. Christian parents want to raise their children to be life-long followers of Jesus. But many parents watch their children grow up, leave home, and then walk away from the faith or, at least, from regular worship with fellow believers. What went wrong? And, how can a new generation of parents avoid the same result? Pastor Dave Benson will be leading a 10 week study on this book beginning Sunday, September 17th during the Christian Education Hour (9:45-10:45 AM). This class is for anyone helping a child live the fruitful and fulfilling life of a Jesus-follower, but especially for parents, grandparents, and supporting adults. We need to have a head count to be sure we have enough books available for all the class members. (Couples can easily share a book.) Please put your names on the sign-up sheet found on the narthex counter in the South end and on the table in the North end of our church facility. You may also sign up by emailing Jennifer at faithlutheransec@gmail.com or calling the church office at (417) 833-3749. Further questions about this class? Contact Pastor Dave at pastordavebenson@gmail.com.
